A recent client had several Substitute for Returns (SFR’S) filed on their behalf by the IRS; resulting in a balance owed of $79,058.38. We have been working with them since retained in 2015 on filing actual correct returns. However, due to the fact that the IRS had filed SFR’s, the processing of the actual returns became delayed.

Moreover, the client recently decided to sell their home and needed BC Tax to get the IRS lien discharged in order to proceed with the sale. Rather than waiting on the title companies, real estate agents, etc. to provide the requested documents, BC Tax worked directly with the IRS to expedite the processing of the lien removal.

BC Tax was able to get the returns successfully processed in time for closing bringing the balance to the IRS down to $6,104.85, saving our client $72,953.53!
